Harwell Campus hosts ZCOP Property Owner & Tenant Net Zero Workshop

On 14 May, the Zero Carbon Oxford Partnership (ZCOP) hosted a Property Owner & Tenant Net Zero Workshop at Harwell Campus, bringing together a range of organisations to explore how property owners and occupiers can work together to reduce energy use and cut carbon emissions in leased properties.

The event featured expert contributions from CBRE, the Better Buildings Partnership (BBP) Low Carbon Hub and the Zero Carbon Oxfordshire Partnership, who shared insights into the challenges and opportunities for improving energy efficiency and delivering carbon reductions through more collaborative leasing arrangements.

Participants took part in a panel discussion and workshop, including a practical session on the BBP’s Green Lease Toolkit – a resource designed to support both landlords and tenants in overcoming common barriers and identifying mutually beneficial solutions. The toolkit is freely available via the Better Buildings Partnership website here.

We look forward to continuing the conversation, including a follow-up event with BBP which will explore lease clauses in more detail.
